How do u change gender of pkmn in platinum using the r4 (revolution 4)?

i have a male riolu which i want to change 2 female due 2 breeding purposes. the cheat in the r4 says to slect and go thru a door; i tired that, by putting only riolu in my party and going thru multiple doors and saving afterwards, but it didn't work. can someone help me out?

If you only want it for breeding purposes, it is not necessary to change gender. Male or female, it does not matter. Just get the type of pokemon you want to eggs of and a ditto and put them together in the day care. Some pokemon do take time to get eggs, so just ride your bicycle back and forth through Solaceon.
