Sims 2: How to change dog's age/gender?

So I was trying to make my two dogs have puppies, they both had 100/100 relationship, but they just wouldn檛 get the option to mate, eventually, after all my hard work, I found out they were both male, yes, I made poor Merry the wrong gender. So I made another dog, more hard work and wasted time, and it turns out?this one is the wrong age, it檚 an elder. So, in short, does the pet aspiration reward thingy actually change the pet檚 life stage, and is there any way to change gender, or do I need to make a 3rd dog?Sims 2: How to change dog's age/gender?
