Questions regarding the gender change surgery?

I don't plan on getting one, but I was just curious...oh, this is female to male btw.

1) How long do they take to complete?

2) How painful are they?

3) If I got a female to male surgery done, would I reproduce normally as a male?

4) If I got a surgery, would I still have my period?

Thanks in advance.Questions regarding the gender change surgery?
You're talking female-to-male, so what are you talking about in terms of surgery? Chest surgery? Nipple relocation? Hysterectomy? Metoidioplasty? Phalloplasty? Scrotoplasty? Urethral re-routing and lengthening? Mind, there are plenty of transmen who never get any surgery below the waist . . .

Knowing that, the answer to #1 is obviously that it varies, depending on what surgeries he's getting done, how long it takes him to save up money and schedule it, how long it takes to heal if he has multiple surgeries that can't be done at once, and in general depends on the surgeon for actual operating time.

2) Painful. Very. Most surgery is.

3) No. FtM men do not have reproductive organs that produce semen. You *could* potentially get pregnant if you stop taking hormones and haven't had any bottom surgery that would get in the way of birthing a child, but it would be your eggs and someone else's sperm. You couldn't impregnate someone else.

4) Surgery has nothing to do with periods, unless it's a hysterectomy. It's taking testosterone that stops you from menstruating (and, accordingly, stopping taking it will have them return).Questions regarding the gender change surgery?
You stay in the hospital for a COUPLE OF DAYS FOR THE SURGERY. Several weeks of recovery. They are painful but mostly discomfort. You dnt reprouduce as a male because you wont have testicles. You wouldnt have a period. If you took the medecation you would have already stopped your period.
1) I don't know, but there's always a waiting list

2) Well, they give you anaesthetics and painkillers, so it won't hurt.

3) No, you'd be sterile, unless you wanted to risk cervical cancer form the hormone therapy on your uterus, in which case you'd be reproducing as a female.

4) Depends if you had your uterus removed or not, testosterone and anti-oestrogens/progestrones may stop it anyway.
It depends on what you mean by complete. The entire process may take years.

Pain depends on the person really. But obviously it won't hurt while surgery is being performed.

If you have lower surgery, you wouldn't be able to reproduce, no.

Testosterone would stop your period.
