Where I live, a Budgie costs around $20-$25. And no, they can't change gender, I used to have one named Mana. You can tell if they're male or female by their bill color (The part just above the beak) Normally, if it's a dull color like brown or something like that, it's a female. If it's blue or green or a bright color like that, it's a male. The reason for this is because the males are able to attract the female for matting. Budgies eat the same food that Parakeets eat, the only difference is that Budgies are bigger in size that Parakeets. If you get one, make sure you get something that they can chew on because of their beaks. You don't want them to get very long because they have trouble eatting. And make sure you clip their nails. Oh, and by the way, if you get one, make sure you give him/her a lot of attention because some can be skittish if you don't tend to them properly.HELP NOW budgie birds?

I think you need to study English and grammar over the summer.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
No, they cannot change gender.

Go to the site linked in my profile, there are several links there on how to care for budgies.

They should cost around $20 each, then there is the cage, food, and toys. The cage should have bars with spacing no wider than 1/2 an inch. They should have several sizes and textures of perches in the cage and at least 3 toys at all times.

They should not be fed a diet of all pellets. Pellets have too much protein for their tiny bodies. With proper care, they can live 15+ years!!!

Get a good avian vet and an agreement from your parents that they will take them to the vet when they get sick. Vet bills for birds are $100 or more in emergencies, so it is important to have money set aside for it.
What you need to do first is go to a couple of pet shops. Look at their birds. Buy a cheap booklet about parakeets. Read it a couple of times. If you still want a parakeet you will know what to do with it. If after reading that booklet you decide you don't want to spend three or four hours with a bird every day you have only spent a couple of bucks on a book. If you fly off and buy a bird before you know what you are getting into you will spend at least $100 for a bird and outfit it with a bird, accessories and food. Then you don't like the mess and the work and you have to try to find a home for your bird. You won't get 25 cents on a dollar in return for a second hand bird and cage. They will live to be twenty years old so you have plenty of time to think this trough. You will be responsible for this guy for a long time.
You should be able to get a budgie for under $25 at any major pet store and a suitable cage with starter toys, cuttle bone, fill and maybe even food for about $80. Budgies can be fussy about their food, so find out what they feed them at the store. Treat sticks can also help ease the transition. If you want to handle your pet, only get one and avoid putting up a mirror until it is hand trained.

A sexually mature female parakeet has a beige colored band across the nostrils just above the beak. In males and juveniles, this band is white or brightly tinted. The zebra stripes on the head go nearly to the front in very young birds... and the birds in the major chains will probably be too young to sex accurately.
